This 18-Layer, Sacher Chocolate Cake is rich and decadent.
The original recipe, still hand-made at the Hotel Sacher in Vienna, features a chocolate sponge cake layered with apricot jam and covered in a glossy chocolate glaze, often served with unsweetened whipped cream. The cake is protected by trademark and is legally recognized as the "Original Sacher-Torte" only when made under the hotel’s strict guidelines.
Our plant-based version is nine rich layers of chocolate genoise made with teff, an ancient Ethiopian grain, drenched in boozy apricot syrup and layered with mylk chocolate ganache and California apricot jam.. Each slice offers a deep, nutty crumb from the teff, bright fruit notes from the jam and syrup, and velvety, sophisticated chocolate from the ganache — a multi‑textured celebration of chocolate and stone fruit.
Perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, and dinner parties. Each cake arrives with a tall gold candle and a personalized note.

Cakes are made with fresh ingredients and alternative flours like sweet rice, tapioca, teff, potato and sorghum flours that taste just like wheat based cakes but are safe for Celiac Disease.

The cake fillings are made in-house, using organic and farmers market ingredients whenever possible. Each cake is filled with cremeux, ganaches, fruit coulis or salted caramel. The outside finish is chocolate ganache plus design.
